In fire, rescue and policing applications, operations have to be mobile, rugged and absolutely reliable in a variety of demanding environments and terrains. As well as fire trucks, ambulances, and mobile command posts, the range of vehicles includes mobile units for dealing with hazardous materials (Hazmat), bomb disposal, crime scene labs and swat teams.

All of these vehicles are strictly regulated, with construction and materials specified by government contracts. All of these types of mobile units are custom built, based on an integral stainless hollow section for the chassis, with the addition of standard engines and drive trains. The interiors are often complex yet compact and are autocad designed.

Stainless hollow section is used for the chassis construction not only for the ruggedness and durability, but also for resistance to corrosion, chemicals and extreme environments. Easy maintenance is vital for mobile units that have completed demanding operations, but need to be quickly returned to availability.
