At Stalatube we are all for development through constant learning and taking care of our talent. Our aim is that all our employees have a vocational degree or higher. Focusing on key competencies and talent management helps us shape the career paths of our employees and actively recruit new talent or educate our staff to meet new demands. We also offer a minimum of three training days annually to update our expertise. We are always on the search for promising trainees, thesis workers, and future stars of the stainless steel world.

Diversity, equality, and inclusion (DEI) are all important to our culture, and we support the reconciliation of work and family life by taking into account different life situations when agreeing on working hours and other flexibilities.

Our office is modern and all workstations are ergonomically designed. We believe in freedom and responsibility in equal amounts. At Stalatube working hours are flexible and working remotely is encouraged when possible. 

Twice a year we arrange an employee experience survey, where the whole staff can tell about how each feels about their job, what kind of development needs there are, functionality of the work community. Overall satisfaction in the latest surveys has been at a very good level. If there are any areas for improvement in the final results of the survey, we will take them seriously and take action to improve satisfaction.

Health, safety, and well-being 

We take occupational health and safety into account at all levels of our daily business. This means that working for us or visiting our units does not cause any risks to anyone’s health. Our goal is zero accidents and our occupational health and safety work has ISO 45001 certification. Shared safety is our top priority. By developing occupational safety, such as modernizing tools, taking care of workplace tidiness, and by developing a safety culture we have succeeded in reducing the number of accidents.

To ensure safety, proactive work is the key. We recognize risks, carry out risk assessments, and work to address any observed safety deficiencies immediately. We encourage our personnel to take the initiative in terms of occupational safety, which has led to several measures to improve safety. In addition, we do carry out regular safety audits.

We constantly update our working environment to be safer and more efficient. We pay attention to safe ways of working and ergonomics in all functions. We also ensure that all our subcontractors are trained in safe working practices in line with our safe working culture.

We provide extensive healthcare services and additional well-being services for our staff. Moreover, we encourage our staff by handing out sports and culture benefits. 

In 2023 we introduced a separate coaching service, which will prevent, among other things, mental overload risks. This coaching service is designed to address potential needs in a solution- and resource-oriented way. The whole staff / all employees have free access to this service.

Training and continuous learning
